About Toadstool Dyes:
Hello, my name is Trevor. I have traveled around the US as a chef most of my life. This developed a deep appreciation for color, plants and nature in general. I always thought tie dye art was very interesting- how all the patterns formed just on a folded shirt, so much abstract, chaotic, beautiful expression can be made with intentionally staining with colorful liquids such as dye. With my appreciation for art and abstract design I have always been drawn to such arts. One day visiting my father he started showing me some of the tie dye stuff he had been playing around with and it resparked that kid like joy I got the first time I saw someone wearing an amazing hand dyed work of art. So, of course, we were both excited to try and make something together. We rushed through the whole process entirely too fast. It was a big fun mess- we were covered in dye. The next day after letting our tied-up works of art bake in the sun in trash bags we decided, still stained all over in dye, it was time to rinse and unravel this exciting colorful present. Once we rinsed all the dye out we were holding the most amazing bed sheet covered in all these colorful splotches of color and white spaces but I was hooked. I decided to watch a bunch of videos and try again. The next one came out even better. I love all the patterns that can be made with this form of art. I hope that you all can enjoy them too as much as I enjoy making them.
